oci_field_size( resource$statement, string|int$column ): int|false

Returns the size of a column.

Parameters

statement: A valid OCI statement identifier.
column: Can be the field's index (1-based) or name.

Return Values

Returns the size of a column in bytes, or false on failure

Notes

Note:

In PHP versions before 5.0.0 you must use ocicolumnsize instead. This name still can be used, it was left as alias of oci_field_size for downwards compatability. This, however, is deprecated and not recommended.
